• Support the Trustee in overseeing superannuation claims • Support assessment, determination and oversight of insured and non-insured superannuation claims • Review claims information and make claim determinations within delegated authority • Review decisions for accuracy, fairness, consistency with fund rules, Trustee obligations and regulatory requirements • Identify matters requiring further investigation or escalation • Support management of complex or disputed claims • Work with insurers and administrators to clarify issues and monitor follow-up actions • Contribute to claims reporting, service-provider oversight, quality reviews and continuous improvement • Identify recurring issues, support governance reporting and help improve claims processes and member outcomes • Collaborate with senior Operations colleagues, insurers, administrators and internal stakeholders
• 2 or more years of experience in superannuation administration, particularly claims administration, insurance operations or member outcomes • Experience managing or reviewing insured and non-insured claims, including Death, TPD, Terminal Illness or Income Protection claims • Confidence reviewing claim information, identifying issues, following up with administrators or insurers, and escalating matters when required • Understanding of fund rules, Trustee obligations, accuracy and fair member outcomes • Ideally, experience working in a superannuation Trustee office, or working closely with a Trustee or RSE licensee • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records and follow matters through to completion • RG146, or willingness to undertake relevant training where required for the role • Belief in Future Group’s mission and passion for moving Australia’s money out of fossil fuels and into renewable energy • Belief in using the power of money to build a sustainable and equitable world • Nice-to-haves: exposure to claims governance, quality assurance, reporting or continuous improvement • Nice-to-haves: experience managing claims disputes or AFCA-related matters
