📋 Description

• Design and govern Cloud FinOps frameworks across AWS, Azure, and GCP • Establish cost-allocation structures, tagging compliance matrices, and unit economics guardrails • Analyze cloud billing telemetry and usage trends • Identify idle compute resources, orphaned storage, and unoptimized network pathways • Manage Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot Instance allocations • Build automated cost governance alerts and forecasting models • Write policy-as-code rules to flag budget anomalies, resource scaling spikes, and environment cost drifts • Lead cross-functional cloud cost efficiency sprints with DevOps and SRE teams • Drive infrastructure remediation such as VM rightsizing, cold storage tiering, and auto-scaling threshold configuration • Establish multi-tenant cost visibility metrics and custom dashboards using tools such as CloudHealth, Vantage, and AWS Cost Explorer • Coordinate cloud vendor pricing and enterprise agreement reviews • Assemble cloud usage data for contract negotiations, private pricing agreements, and cloud spending commitments

🎯 Requirements

• 5 to 9 years of core systems engineering, IT financial management, or cloud DevOps experience • At least 3+ dedicated years of Cloud FinOps, cloud cost management, or public cloud financial optimization experience • Strong technical mastery of cloud billing architectures • Experience with data analytics query structures, including SQL and Athena • Experience with infrastructure cost management engines • Knowledge of cloud resource provisioning patterns • Deep understanding of public cloud computing pricing models • Knowledge of network data transfer costs • Understanding of distributed infrastructure constraints • Understanding of cloud budgeting lifecycles • Mandatory FinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP) or FinOps Certified Professional certification • Preferred experience with Python, Bash, or Terraform policy gates • Preferred experience with large-scale Kubernetes shared cluster cost allocation models
