⢠Manage day-to-day tour operations throughout the Central America & Caribbean region ⢠Ensure high performance, sustainable regional growth, traveler satisfaction, and traveler and tour staff safety ⢠Lead, develop, and manage Operations and Field Staff ⢠Develop company culture and promote G Adventures Core Values ⢠Facilitate collaboration, innovation, communication, training, and brainstorming sessions ⢠Supervise field staff scheduling, recruitment, selection, coaching, training, KPI management, performance reviews, career development, and CEO retention ⢠Oversee payroll, accounts, comments, bonuses, CEO contracts, trip and welcome notes, worker profiles, schedules, performance, 1:1 meetings, swag, and disciplinary actions ⢠Supervise Slack Trip Channels and promote effective use of Technical Itineraries ⢠Review traveler feedback, manage complaints, coordinate ground support, and lead Critical Incident Management ⢠Maintain emergency phone procedures and work with Customer Solutions on post-tour complaints ⢠Represent G Adventures and client brands throughout the region ⢠Develop and implement products, tour schedules, third-party relationships, and commercial initiatives ⢠Improve operational efficiency, manage budgets and margins, identify savings, and supervise service revalidation ⢠Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Management, Product, Commercial, Talent, and other stakeholders ⢠Develop industry contacts, join travel networks, and promote company initiatives
⢠5+ years of experience working in tourism operations ⢠3+ years in management position in the travel industry ⢠Advanced English & Spanish language skills, both written and oral ⢠Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Google Suite and use of social media ⢠Exceptional customer service and communication skills ⢠Superior Attention to detail ⢠Proven people management and project management experience ⢠Strong office administration, problem solving and organizational skills required ⢠Training experience with a flexible and motivational approach ⢠General business and corporate operational knowledge applicable to the Central America and Caribbean region ⢠Ability to manage a crisis and take responsibility for the safety of others ⢠Ability to motivate, lead, and teach others within a team focused approach ⢠Ability to work with a diverse group of departments with sensitivity ⢠Ability to work in a fast moving & ever changing progressive team environment ⢠Ability to travel throughout the region ⢠Qualified applicants must hold appropriate citizenship or documents permitting them to reside and work in Costa Rica ⢠Vocational Qualification related to Travel & Tourism/Business (nice to have)
