📋 Description

• Perform detailed material and quantity takeoffs for structural metal fabrication projects • Prepare estimates, bids, and pricing proposals • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify scope and potential cost impacts • Prepare submittals, revisions, and RFI responses • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and internal team members • Communicate with clients and vendors by phone when necessary • Support pre-construction activities and subcontractor coordination • Manage multiple estimates and project deadlines simultaneously • Use the company's internal job tracking and AI-powered quoting system • Collaborate remotely with Mark VeRost and the senior estimator to review estimates and maintain pricing accuracy • Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and estimating risks before bids are submitted

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of structural fabrication estimating experience • Strong experience with takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost estimation • Background in structural steel, custom metal fabrication, or related heavy fabrication • Strong attention to detail and proven estimate accuracy • Fluent English, written and verbal • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team • Comfortable learning and working within multiple software platforms and internal systems • Able to commit to a full-time, 40-hour/week schedule • Ability to work remotely and reliably access the client's software and internal systems • Willingness to work under a month-to-month employment structure
