📋 Description

• Further develop the rail and rolling-stock portfolio • Expand technical and methodological competencies related to vehicle fleets, workshops, and digital vehicle systems • Analyze, optimize, and digitalize processes in vehicle operations, fleet management, maintenance, repair, and component management • Develop business, process, and target models for digital transformation in rolling stock • Design and implement technology and data solutions such as condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, telematics, IoT sensors, and diagnostic systems • Analyze and develop organizational, governance, and operating models in vehicle and workshop environments • Design and implement control, monitoring, and management systems for vehicle fleets, workshops, and technical units • Manage projects and programs in classical, hybrid, and agile environments • Prepare and conduct workshops, trainings, and change-management activities across the rolling-stock value chain • Identify new topics, data-driven business models, and development opportunities in the rail sector, including scalability to other industries • Develop new business opportunities and build long-term client relationships • Deliver and scale consulting and transformation projects in the vehicle domain

🎯 Requirements

• Solid expertise in vehicle technology, mobility, digital transformation, and operational and maintenance-related requirements in rolling stock • Completed university degree with excellent results (Master’s, MBA, PhD, or equivalent) • At least six years of experience in consulting or project management related to vehicles, workshops, operations, or maintenance • Initial leadership or steering responsibility ideally • Track record of developing new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and delivering and scaling consulting and/or transformation projects in the vehicle domain • Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills • Excellent understanding of operational, process, and organizational models across the vehicle value chain • In-depth knowledge of consulting and project-management methods • Confident interaction with interdisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, procurement, production, and IT • High degree of initiative, creativity, and sense of ownership • Willingness to travel according to project requirements • Business-fluent German and English; further languages are a plus • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Scrum, or ITIL • Deep understanding of vehicle fleets, propulsion and system architectures, including mechanical, electrical/electronic, software, ETCS/TCMS, FRMCS, energy, and braking systems • Experience with digital vehicle models, condition data, sensor technology, and diagnostic systems • Knowledge of vehicle-sector norms, standards, and approval requirements, including EN standards, TSI, interoperability requirements, and vehicle lifecycle standards • Experience with data-driven maintenance and optimization strategies, fleet management, workshop processes, and quality and safety requirements • Basic knowledge of applying artificial intelligence to rail-specific problem areas
