📋 Description

• Define and drive execution of a scalable, cloud-native target-state architecture across the end-to-end software platform • Define architectural patterns for scalable automated data ingestion • Deliver hands-on proof-of-concepts with engineering teams using SQL, PySpark, Serverless Python, or other platform languages • Drive architecture consistency, integration harmonization, component reuse, and technical debt reduction • Act as a subject matter expert for data governance design and implementation • Define and enforce data platform and infrastructure security standards • Partner with Product Management to define application analytics strategy and understand aligned business domains • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, open-source solutions, and third-party applications • Ensure high availability, low latency, and minimal service outages • Promote architectural best practices, educate engineering teams, and support continuous improvement and developer enablement • Contribute to AI-powered agentic development capabilities for the data platform, data transformation, and analytics • Report to the Architecture team and collaborate with Product Management, Cloud Operations, Business Operations, and cross-functional engineering squads • Mentor engineering teams and serve as a trusted technical advocate

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive data architecture background driving architectural and design decisions in cloud data platforms within software-centric organizations • Strong data modeling and governance experience • Strong Databricks experience or experience with another lakehouse platform based on Spark • Hands-on capability with the modern data stack • Expertise developing solutions with SQL and PySpark • Experience using agentic AI in the SDLC for efficiency gains • Experience using GenAI in data workloads for data analysis • Ability to design data schemas for analytics and reporting consumption • Ability to structure and process qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate TCO and make technology trade-off decisions • Effective communication and ability to explain complex technical concepts and gain buy-in across cross-functional teams • Ability to solve complex technical challenges in unstructured or ambiguous environments • Experience in one or more of: security and access control, cloud operations and infrastructure, or third-party integrations • Minimum 15 years in the software industry, including at least 3 years in an architecture position • Preferred: hands-on experience architecting on AWS, GCP, or Azure • Preferred: experience developing and supporting serverless workloads on a public cloud platform • Preferred: knowledge of infrastructure security protocols, data privacy compliance, and access control frameworks • Preferred: developer enablement, engineering mentorship, and CI/CD best practices
