📋 Description

• Design, build, and scale backend systems and frontend interfaces powering the Threads & Composer experience in HighLevel Conversations • Build and ship Node.js/Go services handling live production traffic • Own services and components end to end, including code, tests, rollout, and monitoring • Work with SQL and NoSQL data stores by writing queries and adding indexes • Implement and operate queues, caches, and rate limiters • Build Vue 3 UIs consuming owned APIs, with clean components, state management, and realtime updates • Write feature design documents and defend technical trade-offs in reviews • Participate in the on-call rotation and debug production incidents • Collaborate on systems processing billions of messages per month across SMS, Email, WhatsApp, and DMs

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience with strong fundamentals in Node.js, Go, or a comparable language • Working knowledge of queues or async processing, such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar • Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including idempotency, retries, and consistency trade-offs • Hands-on experience with Redis or another cache/in-memory store • Comfortable with SQL or NoSQL databases; able to model data, write efficient queries, and reason about indexes • Proficiency in Vue 3 or a similar modern frontend framework • Experience with state management such as Pinia, Vuex, or equivalent • Habit of writing tests and ability to document design thinking clearly • Daily experience coding with AI agents and producing accurate, tested, production-quality output • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation • Technical environment includes Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Vue 3, Pinia, Vite, Tailwind, MongoDB, Firestore, Redis, ElasticSearch, ClickHouse, GCP, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes
