📋 Description

• Develop and implement real-time automation controls and information solutions • Conceptualize solutions during the project design phase • Perform system programming, debugging, and testing • Create project engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, case studies, and other documentation • Commission new solutions at client sites and identify improvement opportunities • Create methodologies and solve complex problems • Learn and apply new technologies • Mentor colleagues using subject-matter expertise • Develop real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing plant floor to the enterprise level • Collaborate with clients to solve manufacturing and industrial information problems

🎯 Requirements

• Successful or upcoming completion of B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree • Academic or working experience with some or all listed technologies • Experience with PLC and PAC programming, HMI application design, SCADA design, network design, database design, and/or vision system design • Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individual who is a quick learner • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Valid driver’s license • Full-time access to a personal vehicle • Candidate must be located in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland • Willingness to travel up to 30–50% in PA, NJ, NY, DE, and MD • Employee will be associated with and report to Grantek’s Allentown, PA office • Experience with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, and Modbus is preferred but not necessary • Experience with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is a plus
