📋 Description

• Own the quality system for every market outside the US • Manage product release, specifications, complaints and adverse events, incident management, contract manufacturer oversight, stability, and transit qualification • Build and run Quality Management System processes for EU products to maintain compliance with EU and local market requirements across the product lifecycle • Determine where international quality responsibilities should reside, build the processes, and operate them • Collaborate with Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, external manufacturers, and 3PL partners • Serve as the escalation point for issues in international markets • Verify specs, COAs, manufacturing documents, deviations, and market-specific requirements before releasing finished products • Own consumer complaint intake and triage across levels 1, 2, and 3 • Build and run traceability, recall/withdrawal, mock recall, complaint, adverse-event, and food safety incident processes for EU products • Own supplier and contract manufacturer qualification, including Quality Agreements, audits, CAPAs/SCARs, deviations, change controls, investigations, and performance monitoring • Run BMT testing and oversee microbiological, chemical, allergen, contaminant, nutritional, and stability testing, including OOS/OOT investigations and third-party labs • Assess quality and regulatory risk for formulation, ingredient, supplier, process, specification, packaging, and labeling changes before shipment • Partner with Regulatory Affairs to maintain market-specific compliance of formulations, specs, labels, claims, and packaging • Oversee quality for international manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, distribution partners, and 3PLs • Set and monitor international quality KPIs and maintain audit readiness

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in food, beverage, dietary supplement, or consumer health • Meaningful experience with products sold outside the US • Hands-on EU and international quality experience across multiple regulatory jurisdictions • Working knowledge of EU food and food supplement quality requirements, including GMP, food safety requirements, HACCP, traceability and recall, allergen management, specifications, supplier and contract manufacturer controls, analytical testing, stability, change control, product release, labeling, and claims oversight • Experience across multiple EU member states is a strong plus • Depth in CAPAs, investigations, root cause analysis, specification creation, document control, and change control • Experience qualifying, auditing, and managing external manufacturers and co-packers • Experience owning or materially contributing to a recall, withdrawal, or market action • Experience owning stability protocols and managing third-party labs • Ability to work across US, UK/EU, and Asia time zones with distributed teams and external partners
