📋 Description

• Own the data backbone of the Azure-based AI/ML engineering platform • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks • Structure engineering design parameters and simulation results for ML use • Perform statistical and exploratory analysis to identify design parameters driving performance outcomes • Validate model outputs against ground-truth simulation results • Flag data quality issues that could bias downstream models • Track model and pipeline performance over time • Build Power BI dashboards to provide visibility into data and model health • Apply design of experiments principles to sample the design space efficiently • Work closely with ML engineers, LLM engineers, and MLOps teams

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and validating AI/ML models • 10+ years in a data science role, ideally with engineering, simulation, or scientific/experimental data • Strong Python, including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn • Strong SQL • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, or an equivalent cloud data stack • Solid grounding in hypothesis testing, regression, design of experiments (DOE), and variance/sensitivity analysis • Experience with data visualization/dashboarding tools such as Power BI or similar
