• Lead technically rigorous audits of component suppliers across Asia • Assess supplier process control, measurement capability, and production and inspection reliability • Identify quality-performance drivers and develop prioritised audit findings • Conduct pre-qualification audits for new suppliers • Run surveillance audits and verify corrective-action effectiveness • Develop and improve Halter’s audit methodology and supplier assessment criteria • Own resolution of complex supplier quality issues using first-principles analysis • Lead rapid on-site analysis of production failures and OQC rejections • Assess risks to in-flight inventory and define paths to resolution • Improve supplier process controls, measurement systems, and inspection methods • Coach supplier engineering teams in root-cause analysis and corrective action • Escalate delayed resolutions, poor supplier engagement, and emerging production risks • Implement and maintain quality assurance specifications at suppliers • Refine QA specifications with hardware design and supplier quality leadership • Communicate, implement, and revalidate updated specifications as designs evolve • Challenge unclear, unmeasurable, or unrealistic specifications • Support supplier-side part approval and formal component validation • Track approval status, corrective actions, open quality issues, and supply-continuity risks • Collaborate on supplier OQC failures detected during contract-manufacturer IQC • Build relationships with supplier quality and engineering counterparts • Develop structured improvement plans for systemic supplier capability gaps • Share Halter standards and technical knowledge to build supplier capability • Report to the Head of Supplier Quality and work with hardware design and operations teams
• 15 or more years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality for complex electromechanical hardware • Proven track record of solving technically difficult quality problems at suppliers • Deep manufacturing and process engineering knowledge • Understanding of part manufacturing, process variation, and process control • Exceptional technical audit capability • Strong first-principles thinking and root-cause analysis • Experience with QA specification development • Ability to assess whether specifications are clear, measurable, and correctly implemented • High proficiency in English and Mandarin, written, verbal, and reading • Ability to work directly with Chinese engineers and leadership without translation • Ability to operate autonomously across a portfolio of suppliers • Willingness to travel regularly across APAC; significant time on-site at suppliers • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
