📋 Description

• Set the technical direction and architecture for complex, cross-team systems • Contribute to the design and implementation of complex features • Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Architects across the Technical Team • Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers • Advise Engineering Managers, Technical VPs, and Product Managers on roadmap and architectural decisions • Contribute quality code and leverage AI-assisted tools in software development • Perform code reviews and coach Developers, Senior Engineers, and Staff Engineers • Own the quality, scope, and timeliness of deliverables • Champion adoption of AI-assisted development practices and tools • Design and help build scalable systems processing large volumes of transactions and user interactions • Support the continued growth of Hard Rock Digital's Casino and Sportsbook applications

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of work experience • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • Experience working for a company with large volumes of traffic • Deep understanding of AWS Cloud technologies and scalable multi-region applications • Experience with Java and Spring/SpringBoot • Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB • Experience with streaming technologies such as Amazon Kinesis and Kafka • Experience with message queues such as SQS, RabbitMQ, and ActiveMQ • Experience working within an agile development environment • Experience with containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with microservice and service-oriented architectures • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor • Nice to have: experience in the Casino industry or another regulated industry such as Banking • Nice to have: experience championing AI-assisted engineering practices within an engineering organization
