📋 Description

• Lead complex Citrix logon performance investigations across all logon phases • Analyze customer logon data, including subnet, user, and machine-level variations • Conduct Wireshark packet-level analysis of network contributors to logon delays • Analyze Azure Log Analytics errors and correlate them with logon timelines • Interpret Citrix Director, Logic Monitor, Power BI, and other data sources to identify systemic patterns • Use AI tools to analyze Citrix configuration data, policy exports, and knowledge articles • Serve as subject matter expert for Citrix VDA GPO configuration and policy standards • Identify GPO misconfigurations, policy overlap, legacy drift, and missing best practices • Maintain GPO best-practice libraries and Citrix policy standards • Investigate proxy, WPAD, and auto-proxy configuration issues • Review Optimus reports and drive remediation of configuration gaps • Analyze and optimize FSLogix containers, profiles, HDX policies, and session reliability • Investigate double-hop Citrix architectures and recommend remediation • Assess StoreFront and Citrix Workspace App usage and recommend architectural improvements • Design and refine the team diagnostic playbook • Develop training materials, recorded sessions, runbooks, and lessons-learned libraries • Mentor Systems Engineers and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions • Develop or guide PowerShell/Python automation for GPO auditing and data extraction • Work with internal tooling teams to productionize AI-based GPO audit and Citrix policy analysis capabilities • Complete prioritized customer assessments within 60 days and drive measurable improvements within six months

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), including complex multi-site enterprise deployments, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting • Expert-level understanding of the Citrix logon process and key VDA/client-side metrics • Deep expertise in Windows Group Policy (GPO) design, troubleshooting, and optimization in Citrix VDA environments • Proficiency with Citrix Director for session analysis, logon phase breakdowns, and troubleshooting • Experience with Wireshark or equivalent packet capture tools • Strong analytical ability to correlate Power BI, Logic Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, event logs, and Citrix Director data • Experience documenting complex findings and creating actionable processes and runbooks • Experience mentoring less senior engineers • Preferred: deep FSLogix expertise • Preferred: Azure cloud infrastructure, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure AD integration experience • Preferred: Citrix StoreFront and Workspace App knowledge • Preferred: proxy settings, WPAD, and auto-proxy detection experience • Preferred: Optimus/OptimistDB or similar audit framework familiarity • Preferred: PowerShell and/or Python scripting proficiency • Preferred: operational use of AI/LLM tools • Preferred: CCE-V certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise • Preferred: healthcare IT or managed services experience • Preferred: exposure to double-hop Citrix architectures
