📋 Description

• Technical design and planning of utility-scale photovoltaic and battery storage projects across all project phases • Assessing sites in terms of topography, technical conditions, and available land potential • Developing optimal system concepts • Preparing and reviewing technical planning documents, layouts, cable sizing calculations, single-line diagrams, and other engineering documentation • Conducting yield forecasts and performance analyses using PVsyst • Supporting the technical and commercial optimization of projects • Participating in site inspections, assessing technical risks, and preparing related analyses and reports • Providing technical support to internal teams as well as external experts, consultants, and business partners • Supporting technical due diligence processes, as well as technical coordination and negotiations with external stakeholders • Collaborating with project development, project management, construction, and engineering teams through the construction phase • Supporting and mentoring colleagues on the Engineering team with technical questions • Ensuring the quality of engineering and planning deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a comparable field • At least five years of professional experience in the planning and design of utility-scale photovoltaic systems • Additional experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is an advantage • Solid understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of solar and energy storage projects • Knowledge of PV modules, inverters, transformers, cable systems, and medium- and high-voltage technology • Experience preparing technical designs, energy calculations, and engineering documentation • Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVcase, QGIS, or comparable planning tools • Structured, self-directed working style and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously • Analytical mindset, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills • Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage
