📋 Description

• Independently handle pet insurance claims from initial assessment to final settlement • Review incoming claim notifications for plausibility, completeness, and medical and insurance-related criteria • Provide clear, service-oriented responses to customer inquiries • Correspond with veterinary practices and animal hospitals and clarify open questions regarding treatments and claims • Assess and purposefully settle claims taking policy terms and economic considerations into account • Coordinate cooperation with service providers and ensure a reliable flow of information • Collaborate within communicative, interdisciplinary teams to develop joint solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Completed vocational training or degree in a veterinary, commercial, or insurance-related field • Examples: training as a Veterinary Medical Assistant / Veterinary Nurse or as an insurance clerk (Insurance and Financial Services); degree in veterinary medicine (veterinarian) • Several years of professional experience in a veterinary environment or in handling insurance claims • Knowledge of veterinary medicine or claims handling • Ability to assess complex cases in a structured manner • Independent, structured, and responsible way of working • Solution-oriented approach to complex claims • Strong service and customer orientation • Clear and understandable communication with customers, veterinary practices, animal hospitals, and other stakeholders • Fluent German, spoken and written
