📋 Description

• Take full ownership of link-building campaigns across approximately 50 SEO client accounts. • Execute targeted backlink strategies based on each client’s SEO goals, target markets, services, and opportunities. • Perform backlink gap analyses against local or industry competitors. • Identify and evaluate high-value, realistically attainable link opportunities. • Assess clients’ backlink profiles for strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. • Collaborate with the SEO team to identify priority pages requiring additional authority. • Develop target-page plans and natural anchor-text recommendations. • Identify opportunities based on industry, geography, partnerships, and existing relationships. • Build and maintain prioritized prospect lists for each client. • Create monthly link-acquisition plans based on client needs and budgets. • Research legitimate, relevant websites, organizations, and businesses for backlink opportunities. • Write personalized outreach emails and communicate with website owners, businesses, and organizations. • Manage follow-ups, relationship building, and placement coordination. • Submit clients to relevant directories, associations, and industry listings. • Secure quality backlinks and verify that placements are accurate and live. • Coordinate backlink efforts with priority pages and newly published content. • Identify partnership, sponsorship, and other relevant placement opportunities. • Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to internal team members. • Execute monthly campaigns across approximately 50 SEO accounts. • Maintain prospect lists, outreach schedules, and accurate campaign records. • Track referring domains, anchor text, target pages, link quality, referral traffic, and ranking changes. • Monitor backlinks for changes or removals. • Follow white-hat SEO practices and avoid spammy or manipulative tactics. • Maintain and improve link-building workflows, documentation, and tracking systems. • Identify process improvements to increase campaign efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SEO link building, off-page SEO, or digital PR. • Proven ability to research, evaluate, and secure high-quality backlinks. • Strong understanding of SEO, competitor backlink analysis, and link acquisition strategies. • Experience with outreach, relationship building, and local SEO. • Proficiency with Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar SEO tools. • Excellent research, organization, and written communication skills. • Experience using Google Sheets, Excel, and project management tools. • Ability to independently manage multiple client campaigns and deadlines. • Previous experience at an SEO or digital marketing agency preferred. • Experience building links for local service-based businesses preferred. • Familiarity with digital PR, editorial outreach, and relationship-based link acquisition preferred. • Experience securing links through trade associations, suppliers, business partnerships, and local organizations preferred. • Knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics preferred. • Experience improving SEO workflows, processes, and automations preferred. • Must agree to Lago’s Confidentiality and Non-Circumvention Agreement.
