📋 Description

• Provide accounting support to the project team of a construction management firm • Post project costs, billings, and change orders accurately and on time • Manage appliance orders and related expense reports • Process contractor invoices and change orders with correct job and cost coding • Create and submit contractor contracts • Prepare project draw packets in AIA G702 and G703 format with required documentation • Provide supporting documentation and reporting for draw packets • Prepare and review weekly project job cost reports • Complete monthly bank reconciliations • Support the Senior Project Accountant with daily, weekly, and monthly close tasks • Help manage budgets and flag variances and discrepancies • Collaborate with accounting team members • Assist with special projects and ad hoc project analysis • Report to the Senior Project Accountant and develop toward a full Project Accountant role within 6 to 12 months

🎯 Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in construction or project accounting preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and QuickBooks Contractor Pro • Strong attention to detail and accuracy on postings, reconciliations, and reports • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Interpersonal skills to work with project teams, contractors, and vendors • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting • Ability to work with limited supervision and ask questions when needed • Collaborative approach and willingness to learn • Availability to work full-time during US business hours • Experience with AIA draw packets, construction billing, or job costing is nice to have • Experience in multifamily, commercial, or renovation project environments is nice to have • Experience with contractor contracts, lien waivers, or change order processing is nice to have • Updated resume and a 1-to-2-minute Loom video are required for application
