📋 Description

• Lead greenfield development and own the architecture and technical vision for the V1 Trust Accounting product • Design and implement secure, scalable, auditable backend services for the trust accounting subsystem • Establish quality gates, robust testing, and CI/CD integration • Drive engineering best practices for system design, observability, security, quality, resilience, and financial accuracy • Collaborate with product, design, finance, and legal teams • Provide technical context to foster transparency and accountability • Mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on pairing • Deliver a reliable Trust Accounting subsystem integrated into the Hostaway platform • Ensure high-throughput, low-error, accurate, auditable, compliant financial data • Scale the platform without fundamental re-architecture

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience • At least 2 years operating at Staff Engineer or equivalent level • High proficiency in a backend language for production-grade services • Experience building, shipping, and operating critical backend systems at scale • Understanding of reliability, observability, and failure modes • Strong system architecture and pragmatic trade-off skills • Experience driving adoption of platforms, patterns, or standards across teams • Comfortable with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and operating production services • Curiosity and adaptability to integrate with polyglot codebases • Accounting or ledger product experience is a significant plus • Hands-on production experience with Golang is a nice-to-have • Must be physically based within EMEA
