📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day legal support to Human Resources teams for Howmet’s international operations outside the United States • Advise executives and HR teams on employment law matters in Europe, primarily in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Hungary • Manage external counsel on employment law matters in Europe, Japan, China, and Australia • Review and coordinate updates to internal policies and procedures with HR teams • Ensure compliance of offer letters, employment contracts, and documents related to employment termination • Manage external counsel in litigation matters • Propose practical, business-oriented responses to legal and operational risks and drive matters through to resolution • Keep HR teams informed of significant legislative developments in employment law across Europe and Asia • Support the activities of Howmet Aerospace Inc., a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of complex metal components for the aerospace, defense, and commercial transportation industries

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree • Admission in good standing to the relevant bar • More than 8 years of professional experience gained at an international law firm • Excellent spoken and written English • Fluency in French is a significant advantage • High level of integrity and discretion • Strong skills and confidence required for the role • Risk-based approach • Ability to explain legal issues in an accessible manner • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization • Ability to implement sustainable processes and procedures across different jurisdictions • Ability to work in an international environment and across diverse legal systems
