📋 Description

• Produce accurate, high-quality architectural drawings and documentation across residential building stages, from concept and tender through building approval and construction • Design architectural drawings to Australian building standards for council approval and construction • Prepare and manage detailed residential documentation, including site, earthworks, retaining, floor, roof, elevations, sections, schedules, facades, kitchens, bathrooms, slabs, electrical, landscape, structural, stormwater, and 3D models • Complete material takeoffs for whole projects based on finished designs and material choices • Identify cost-efficient material choices • Work virtually with site managers, project managers, and contract administrators to advise on designs and update drawings • Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, track project progress, and resolve deadline risks • Produce working drawings and construction documentation from sketches and concept plans through tender, contract, DA, building approval, and construction • Amend plans and update documentation for approved variations and project changes • Coordinate with councils, certifiers, planners, engineers, surveyors, and external consultants • Manage building approval processes and respond to authority requirements • Maintain construction details, detail registries, master drawings, facades, and ArchiCAD documentation and library structures • Ensure designs are safe, buildable, and compliant with building codes, regulations, and legal requirements • Apply quality assurance processes and checklists • Review documentation, resolve discrepancies, and escalate risks to management • Improve drafting systems, processes, and production standards with the Design and Drafting Manager • Support CRM with 3D walkthrough creation and navigation • Maintain knowledge of construction practices, materials, industry trends, and relevant standards through training and professional development • Follow company values, procedures, and quality standards and perform other reasonably required duties

🎯 Requirements

• Philippines-based candidates • Minimum of 3 years’ Australian residential high-rise (4–6 storey) and commercial, and/or hotel/luxury boutique accommodation drafting experience; Queensland strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience working with Australian businesses or clients; evidence of previous work within the Australian building industry required • Proficiency with ArchiCAD or an equivalent architectural program providing detailed architectural drawings • Strong Australian/Queensland commercial experience • Strong experience producing architectural working drawings and construction documentation; previous work required for consideration • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and detailing • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify drafting and compliance issues • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment • Independent contractor engagement • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work • Reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
