📋 Description

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports • Manage reconciliations, general ledger, journals and month/year-end closing • Monitor financial performance against budgets and investigate variances • Provide financial insights and maintain accurate records • Lead migration from MYOB EXO to MYOB AccountRight Plus • Review systems, financial processes and charts of accounts • Clean, migrate, test and reconcile financial, customer and supplier data • Establish controls, document procedures and train staff • Oversee invoicing, supplier bills, account reconciliations and payment scheduling • Monitor debtor ageing, overdue accounts, supplier obligations and cash collection • Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital • Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts and financial projections • Support GST, BAS, PAYG, superannuation and payroll reconciliations • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors and professional service providers • Improve financial workflows, reporting, internal controls and approval processes • Reduce manual data entry through automation and improved systems • Analyse product and customer profitability, margins, pricing, freight, landed costs and supplier expenses • Support Asia-Pacific expansion and future global growth • Develop scalable financial reporting, controls and processes across multiple entities, countries and currencies • Help recruit, develop and manage the expanding finance team

🎯 Requirements

• Accounting or finance background highly favourable, including a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline • CPA, CA or equivalent qualifications advantageous • Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, Management Accountant or similar for Australian companies • Experience working remotely for an Australian business • Good understanding of Australian accounting practices • Strong MYOB experience, including MYOB EXO and/or AccountRight Plus • Experience managing month-end processes • Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills • Experience with budgeting and cash flow forecasting • Understanding of GST and BAS processes • Strong Excel skills • Experience improving finance processes and systems • Experience supervising or developing finance staff advantageous • Exposure to multi-entity or international businesses advantageous • Ability to disclose existing ongoing roles or client work • Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor”
