📋 Description

• Own the monthly close calendar, quality bar, query queue, settlement reconciliation, consolidated group P&L, stock take, and year-end pack • Manage the indirect tax control across US sales tax, German VAT, UK VAT under Making Tax Digital, Canadian GST, and Australian BAS • Maintain a filing calendar, prepare data for external firms, reconcile filings against the books, and document discrepancies • Produce daily channel P&L, weekly sales reports, monthly P&L analysis with executive summary, KPI scorecard, and product/range performance reporting • Conduct pricing reviews, margin verification, aged-stock markdown analysis, channel contribution analysis, and third-party logistics cost reviews • Refresh and verify landed costs monthly and resolve known cost conflicts • Create SOPs for recurring processes, an access map, and an audit-readiness file • Take over daily and weekly reporting, document the close, run landed-cost refreshes, and produce the consolidated group P&L without CEO involvement • Develop the FX convention, SKU mapping, US state tax registration recommendation, and discount bands with margin floors • Report directly to the CEO and coordinate with the external bookkeeping firm and Australian tax advisors

🎯 Requirements

• CPA or CA qualified, with a Big 4 audit or advisory background at manager or assistant manager level, or equivalent depth in industry • Multi-entity, multi-currency reporting experience, including consolidating entities with different start dates and forming a defensible view on FX handling • Close discipline involving calendars, working papers, reconciliations, variance tolerance, and holding an external bookkeeper to a standard • Indirect tax experience across more than one jurisdiction, including coordinating external firms and understanding controls over outsourced filings • Comfortable building before delegating; in year one, building and running the function • Strong writing skills for executive summaries that people read and act on • Based in the Philippines • Able to work as an independent contractor • Daily availability window overlapping the Australian morning • E-commerce or consumer goods experience, Power BI or similar modelling, inventory-heavy business and landed-cost experience, and Australian tax exposure are useful but not required
