📋 Description

• Develop and maintain systems in Mainframe environments using COBOL with DB2, COBOL CICS and COBOL Batch, ensuring high performance, stability and quality of deliveries • Maintain and evolve solutions for the banking sector, analyzing technical and functional requirements to propose business-aligned implementations • Develop and maintain integrations between Mainframe applications and APIs using z/OS Connect • Handle sequential files and VSAM, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency • Write and execute JCL (Job Control Language) to manage jobs and processing in Mainframe environments • Use Roscoe for code and data editing and manipulation • Create and execute test scenarios, validating functionality and ensuring delivery quality • Work with source code versioning using Git • Support legacy system modernization initiatives, collaborating with DevOps practices and using containers for development and testing • Interpret technical documentation, functional specifications and system manuals to understand business rules and propose consistent solutions • Ensure development best practices, documentation, standardization, organization and code maintenance

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience as a Senior COBOL Developer in a Mainframe environment • Experience in the banking sector • Experience with COBOL DB2, COBOL CICS and COBOL Batch • Knowledge of handling sequential files and VSAM • Proficiency in JCL and use of Roscoe • Experience creating and executing test scenarios • Knowledge of source code versioning using Git • Experience developing non-UI COBOL programs (batch) and integrating via z/OS Connect • Knowledge of containers applied to development and testing in a COBOL environment • Experience in projects related to card networks, preferably Visa and/or Elo • Analytical mindset, able to interpret technical documentation, manuals and business rules beyond code implementation • Intermediate English for communication, with the ability to participate in occasional conversations with international teams
