📋 Description

• Own the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial records, close process, and accounts receivable operations • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements • Improve accounting and accounts receivable operations through automation, AI, and process optimization • Complete month-end close within 3 business days • Ensure financial statements and balance-sheet accounts are accurate and fully supported • Complete required tax filings, remittances, and compliance requirements accurately and on time • Maintain past-due accounts receivable below 10% and review aging monthly • Own customer invoicing, including invoices and credit notes • Record and apply customer cash receipts; reconcile unapplied cash, deductions, and short payments • Complete bank reconciliations daily and investigate reconciling items • Deliver cash and short-term liquidity reporting • Identify material cash or balance-sheet exposures proactively • Deliver at least 3 measurable process improvements or automations within the first 12 months • Act as a trusted partner to the Controller and business leaders • Deliver reliable financial information, working-capital management, and accurate sales forecasts

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience • Strong accounting knowledge • Manufacturing experience • CPA designation an asset • Knowledge of financial accuracy, close quality, and controls • Ability to identify risks and inconsistencies, determine root causes, and develop lasting solutions • Controls and compliance mindset • Familiarity with ERP capabilities, automation, and AI • Ability to improve processes and deliver reliably in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment • Ability to build cross-functional relationships across Finance, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders • Clear communication of financial information, risks, and issues to finance and non-finance stakeholders
