📋 Description

• Own core business and client reporting, ensuring definitions are documented, consistent and trusted • Build and maintain dashboards and self-service tools • Automate recurring reporting and analysis with schedules and quality checks • Handle ad-hoc analytical requests by clarifying questions, prioritising and delivering actionable answers • Select appropriate reporting and visualisation tools for the audience, question and answer lifespan • Analyse user behaviour to identify trends, friction points and opportunities • Track engagement, retention and customer journey metrics • Apply cohort analysis, significance testing, forecasting and seasonality • Design and evaluate product experiments • Investigate anomalies and distinguish signal from data quality issues or noise • Build and maintain analytical models and reusable assets on curated data • Specify analytics-layer data requirements and partner with engineering • Understand data origins, flows and downstream effects of upstream changes • Work responsibly with personal and sensitive data under POPIA and client obligations • Identify and resolve data quality issues at the source • Apply data security, governance and metadata management practices • Partner with product, marketing, engineering and operations • Communicate analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Represent analytics on the broader data platform roadmap • Mentor junior and intermediate analysts and contribute to training and knowledge sharing • Maintain documentation for data models, dashboards and workflows • Use AI to explore data, optimise SQL, build reports, write documentation and pressure-test analysis • Build reusable AI workflows and verify AI output • Champion iiDENTIFii’s culture and contribute to its mission of powering innovators in remote biometric digital authentication

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role • 5+ years of BI and data visualisation experience • Track record of delivering analytical work independently in an agile, fast-paced environment • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience • Exposure to a regulated or high-integrity environment is strongly advantageous • Advanced SQL • Python for analysis and automation • Strong applied statistics, including cohort analysis, significance testing, forecasting and seasonality • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks or an equivalent cloud data platform is valuable but not required • Familiarity with CI/CD, version control and modern development practices applied to analytics is advantageous • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor or Grafana is a plus • Working understanding of data security, governance and metadata management principles • Comfort working responsibly with personal and sensitive data in a compliance-conscious environment • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Experience presenting analysis to senior stakeholders • Experience presenting analysis directly to external clients is advantageous • Comfort owning work end to end from question framing through recommendation adoption • Experience supporting or mentoring less experienced analysts is a plus
