📋 Description

• Work within the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team as part of building design • Assist with drawing production and prepare drawings for commercial building projects • Review project files for compliance with standards and protocols • Learn laser scanning for 3D model creation of buildings • Assist engineers with research on commercial building projects • Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models • Help technically deliver CAD/BIM projects as a technician • Report day-to-day to the Project Engineer, Project Managers, and CAD Manager • Work 15–30 hours per week

🎯 Requirements

• Current or soon-to-be graduating student in a related field • College student/intern in a related engineering, architecture, or building discipline • Working knowledge of at least one discipline: Architecture, Structure, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Civil • Interest in learning about other areas of the building industry • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information • Self-motivated, hardworking, proactive, and able to take responsibility for daily tasks • Flexible attitude • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or as part of a team • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 or higher, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint is desirable • Experience in the commercial building industry is a plus • Desire to obtain the Certificate of Development in BIM, Part 1 certification (CD-BIM.com) is a plus
