📋 Description

• Support the Head of Compliance in ensuring the Compliance Function and Compliance Risk Management Framework operate effectively and meet regulatory expectations • Lead the Compliance Framework and Program, including documenting and maintaining policies, standards, and procedures • Build, embed, and maintain governance, risk, and compliance frameworks for regulated financial services products • Maintain Afterpay's Australian Credit License, including governance, compliance oversight, due diligence, and annual compliance certificate submissions to ASIC • Manage monitoring, reporting, audit, and testing activities, including reporting to regulators, the Board, and internal Governance committees • Assist with compliance incident management and reportable situation assessments • Lead projects assessing, implementing, and monitoring adherence to new regulatory obligations and policies • Oversee compliance risk assessments for new financial products, services, and initiatives • Manage compliance risk management databases, registers, project plans, issues, incidents, risk assessments, and action logs • Enhance business awareness and education on compliance risks and mitigation strategies • Advise internal management and business partners on compliance program implementation and operation • Report on compliance risks, trends, and key performance metrics • Drive a strong risk culture in day-to-day business decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience as a compliance and risk professional in Australian financial services environments • Knowledge of obligations applying to regulated financial services products • Experience maintaining financial services regulatory licenses • Experience building and maintaining frameworks supporting regulated financial services products • Experience with regulatory interactions and investigations, information requests, audits, and management action plans • Deep knowledge of financial services regulation, including regulated consumer credit, BNPL compliance, payment systems regulation, P2P/non-cash payment facilities, financial services licensing obligations, marketing collateral review and approval, design and distribution obligations, AML, collections, consumer protection, anti-bribery and corruption, and conduct-related areas • Experience identifying, recording, overseeing remediation of incidents and issues, and escalating/reporting them to appropriate teams or regulators • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline • Data and technical focus, with ability to analyze, assess, and operationalize new and emerging regulatory obligations • Experience using innovative tools such as AI to improve compliance outcomes
