📋 Description

• Converse with AI models on laboratory scenarios and theoretical materials science questions • Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses • Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes • Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics • Challenge advanced language models on materials science and engineering topics to improve model reasoning

🎯 Requirements

• Materials science and engineering expertise • Expertise in crystallography, thermomechanical processing, nanomaterials, polymer science, electronic materials, biomaterials, corrosion science, and composite development • Knowledge of phase transformations, microstructure-property relationships, materials characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, TEM), thermal analysis, additive manufacturing, materials failure analysis, and sustainability in materials engineering • A PhD in materials science, materials engineering, or a closely related physical science field is ideal • Peer-reviewed publications, lab-based testing, product design using advanced materials, or applied research signal fit • Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to “show your work” • Secure computer and high-speed internet for contract work
