📋 Description

• Responsibility for the design, operation, and maintenance of large, distributed MongoDB clusters in business-critical environments • Architecture and scaling of replica sets and sharded clusters for high availability and resilience • Resolution of cluster performance, load balancing, query optimization, and indexing strategy issues • Planning and execution of cluster expansions, rebalancing, failover scenarios, and rolling upgrades in live production environments • Automation of provisioning, configuration, and cluster operations • Cluster monitoring and implementation of backup and recovery strategies • Ensuring authentication, access control, encryption, and auditing • Collaboration with customers and communication of complex technical concepts

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of proven experience building and operating MongoDB clusters in production environments • Experience with MongoDB Atlas or Enterprise Advanced at scale • Understanding of sharding, replication, election processes, and read/write concerns • Experience with schema design, aggregation pipelines, and indexing strategies • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform • Experience with MongoDB Ops Manager, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack • Knowledge of LDAP, Kerberos, RBAC, encryption, and auditing • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly • Willingness to learn new technologies and continue developing professionally • Willingness to work on customer engagements and travel • German proficiency at least at C1 level • English language skills are an advantage
