📋 Description

• Lead the design of factory-level mechanical and cooling architectures for Jabil manufacturing facilities • Design and integrate air-cooled and water-cooled chiller plants, dry coolers, heat rejection systems, and hydronic distribution networks • Define cooling plant performance requirements, including capacity, redundancy, efficiency, availability, and scalability • Partner with electrical, controls, and operations teams to meet cooling-system targets • Serve as a subject matter expert for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling technologies used in hyperscale data centers • Architect and integrate rack-level, row-level, and facility-based liquid cooling systems, including CDUs, manifolds, and heat exchangers • Define operational requirements for liquid-cooling infrastructure • Ensure thermal and mechanical integration between facility cooling plants and high-density IT liquid-cooling loops • Review and approve mechanical designs, CAD models, and technical data packages • Select piping, valves, fittings, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling equipment • Develop and release Bills of Materials and manufacturing documentation • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices • Perform or oversee thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical analyses • Define and lead system-level and component-level testing, including leak testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, and performance validation • Evaluate test and field data and drive design improvements • Lead design-for-manufacturability and design-for-assembly efforts • Optimize manufacturing and installation processes for copper, stainless steel, and aluminum piping systems • Manage technical relationships with cooling equipment OEMs, contract manufacturers, and fabrication partners • Support deployment, commissioning, and early-life issue resolution for data-center cooling systems • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical system integration • Proven track record of successful system designs and implementations in a relevant industry • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategy, and system coordination • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and teamwork abilities • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Data Center Infrastructure is preferred • Master’s degree in engineering or higher is preferred • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred • Alternatively, a suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Able to work independently with minimal oversight • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides • Effective at presenting information and responding to management, clients, and public queries • Capable of influencing others and sharing best practices • Comfortable working as part of a global team • Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones • Familiar with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM) • Able to mentor less experienced engineers
