📋 Description

• Define factory-level mechanical and thermal solutions for greenfield and brownfield Jabil-owned manufacturing facilities and product support • Lead early-phase factory design by scoping, specifying, and integrating mechanical and cooling systems • Translate product and process requirements into scalable factory architectures • Lead design of factory-level mechanical and cooling architectures using hyperscale data center design principles • Design and integrate air-cooled and water-cooled chiller plants, dry coolers, heat rejection systems, and hydronic distribution networks • Partner with electrical, controls, and operations teams to meet availability, resilience, and operational excellence targets • Architect and integrate rack-level, row-level, and facility-based liquid cooling systems, including CDUs, manifolds, and heat exchangers • Define operational requirements for liquid-cooling infrastructure and ensure thermal and mechanical integration with facility cooling plants • Review and approve mechanical designs, CAD models, and technical data packages • Select piping, valves, fittings, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling equipment • Develop and release bills of materials and manufacturing documentation • Perform or oversee thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical analyses • Define and lead system-level and component-level testing, including leak testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, and performance validation • Evaluate test and field data and drive design improvements • Lead design-for-manufacturability and design-for-assembly efforts • Optimize manufacturing and installation processes for copper, stainless steel, and aluminum piping systems • Manage technical relationships with cooling equipment OEMs, contract manufacturers, and fabrication partners • Support deployment, commissioning, and early-life issue resolution for data center cooling systems • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical system integration • A Master’s degree in engineering or higher is preferred • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred • Proven track record of successful system designs and implementations in a relevant industry • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategy, and system coordination • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Data Center Infrastructure is preferred • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and teamwork abilities • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Creative, self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented • Able to work independently with minimal oversight • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides • Effective at presenting information and responding to management, clients, and public queries • Capable of influencing others and sharing best practices • Comfortable working as part of a global team • Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones • Familiar with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM) • Able to mentor less experienced engineers • Alternatively, a suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered
