📋 Description

• Define and own the end-to-end automated test strategy across web portals and backend microservices • Design test strategies for distributed, event-driven systems, including asynchronous SNS/SQS flows, eventual consistency, idempotency, message ordering, retries, and dead-letter handling • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for web and API testing using Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript • Automate REST/JSON API, service-level, and asynchronous messaging tests • Build scalable framework abstractions including page objects, fixtures, data builders, and reusable test harnesses • Design tests for services deployed on ECS, EKS, and Lambda, including environment provisioning and teardown • Use TestContainers and LocalStack to test AWS integrations locally • Drive performance, load, resilience, security, reliability, and chaos/failure-injection testing • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI • Improve test reliability, reduce flakiness, optimize execution time, enable parallelization, and improve test-result observability • Define and track quality metrics including coverage, escape rate, MTTR, and flake rate • Leverage LLM-based tools to accelerate test authoring, framework development, test-data generation, debugging, failure summarization, flaky-test triage, code review, and boilerplate scaffolding • Establish responsible AI usage prompts, patterns, and guardrails and mentor QA engineers • Partner with developers, product, and DevOps teams; review application and test code • Mentor and uplevel SDE-II/III QA engineers • Influence design and architecture discussions to improve testability and shift quality left • Evaluate and introduce new tools, methodologies, and best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot ecosystem) and/or JavaScript/TypeScript • Deep, hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium for web automation • Proven experience testing microservices and API-based systems, including asynchronous/event-driven architectures such as SNS/SQS or equivalent messaging • Experience testing cloud-native applications on AWS, including ECS, EKS, and Lambda • Familiarity with containers/Docker and Kubernetes • Solid grasp of CI/CD, test integration, and pipeline quality gates • Experience with performance/load testing and non-functional quality • Experience with API automation tools such as Postman or REST-assured and a good understanding of REST APIs • Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and scripting • Ability to drive quality decisions and mentor others in a fast-paced environment • Hands-on experience using LLM/AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar • Contract testing experience with Pact or Spring Cloud Contract is nice to have • Infrastructure-as-Code familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation and observability tooling such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana is nice to have • Experience in identity verification, KYC/AML, or other security/compliance-sensitive domains is nice to have • Experience building or testing LLM/AI-powered features, or integrating AI into test automation and CI/CD workflows, is nice to have
