📋 Description

• Architect, design, and oversee development of high-performance backend systems and distributed applications • Lead design and architecture of complex backend systems, distributed services, and mission-critical APIs • Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams and mentor developers • Define coding standards, enforce code quality, and conduct thorough code reviews • Own end-to-end delivery from technical feasibility through deployment and maintenance • Architect and implement backend services using Python/FastAPI or Java with Spring Boot/Quarkus • Design and deliver scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs focused on performance, security, and maintainability • Build asynchronous task pipelines and microservices using Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, or equivalent message brokers • Design efficient database schemas and queries across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases • Deploy, manage, and optimize systems on AWS • Implement CI/CD processes, automated pipelines, and environment provisioning • Use Docker and Kubernetes for microservice orchestration • Ensure observability through logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing • Lead discussions on scalability, distributed architecture, caching, API design, and event-driven patterns • Drive decisions on technologies, frameworks, and cloud-native approaches • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards • Lead a cross-functional engineering team and drive technical excellence and development best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 10–13 years of backend engineering experience • 3+ years in a technical leadership role • Strong experience with Python (FastAPI preferred) OR Java • Strong experience with REST & GraphQL API development • Strong experience with Celery / async processing • Strong experience with AWS cloud services • Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization • Solid knowledge of microservices architectures • Solid knowledge of distributed systems • Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines • Solid knowledge of monitoring and alerting frameworks • Frontend development experience using ReactJS and TypeScript is a nice-to-have • Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka and SNS/SQS is a nice-to-have • Exposure to domain-driven design and clean architecture principles is a nice-to-have • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform/CloudFormation is a nice-to-have • Experience with performance tuning, load testing, and cost optimization on AWS is a nice-to-have • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environment
