📋 Description

• Develop and own the IT and digital strategy, including IT governance and enterprise architecture • Lead and develop a larger IT function comprising multiple teams, including coaching team leads • Establish a leadership culture focused on prioritization, accountability, continuous learning, and pragmatism • Own the architecture, operation, and ongoing development of the systems landscape, with a focus on scalability, stability, performance, and low maintenance effort • Strategically expand the use of AI—from use cases and data infrastructure through governance to production implementation and the automation of administrative processes • Select and implement a new Learning Experience Platform (LXP) • Manage SaaS vendors and external providers • Drive make-or-buy decisions based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) • Assume technical responsibility for the website as a central sales channel • Ensure seamless data flow from the website via HubSpot to Microsoft Dynamics CRM • Ensure information security, IT compliance, and data protection (GDPR) • Own the IT budget and ensure the efficient use of internal and external resources • Work closely with the executive team and business functions to translate business requirements into technical solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in a senior IT leadership role with direct personnel responsibility for a larger IT function comprising multiple teams • Strong leadership skills, empathy, and assertiveness • Experience leading and coaching team leads • Strong AI-first mindset • Hands-on experience deploying AI in production in a business environment • Experience strategically developing data infrastructures and AI governance • Sound understanding of modern IT architectures, cloud infrastructures, and data-driven systems • Experience with IT governance and enterprise architecture • Experience with IT security, data protection (GDPR), and compliance, ideally involving sensitive B2C customer data • Experience managing external providers and making SaaS and make-or-buy decisions based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong solution orientation, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate as equals with the executive team, business functions, team leads, and technical teams • Fluent written and spoken German and English • A plus: Experience in the EdTech or continuing education sector • A plus: Hands-on exposure to RAG architectures, vector databases, and LLM integrations • A plus: Knowledge of HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Matrix42, and Microsoft Teams • A plus: Experience with Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs)
