📋 Description

• Work with Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL on VMs, AWS RDS/Aurora, and OCI managed databases • Work with AWS, OCI, and Azure cloud vendors • Use AI tools for experimentation, understanding, and solution development • Monitor, update, and alert on large and diverse infrastructure • Develop and manage database processes • Maintain database backups • Provide database support for company projects • Support development teams and peer groups • Investigate performance tuning and provide expertise and advice • Create and maintain SOPs and other documentation • Determine direction for future database architectures • Work with very large databases exceeding 15 TB • Review and manage user sessions, storage, processes, schemas, and related database components • Create and use dashboards for alerts, storage trends, and query execution times • Perform data loading and unloading as necessary • Patch database systems manually, with scripts, and enterprise tooling • Collaborate with database and systems administrators to prevent or minimize customer outages • Innovate and standardize services to improve quality, consistency, and sustainability

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience • 3-5 years of experience as a DBA on different versions of Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle databases • Flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend client and team member needs • Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation • Excellent analytical skills • Strong communication skills both verbal and written • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent time management • Able to work well within a team • AWS RDS/Aurora, EC2 and API experience (nice to have) • OCI VM, buckets and API experience (nice to have) • Oracle Dataguard (nice to have) • Oracle Goldengate (nice to have) • MSSQL HA (nice to have) • Tanium (nice to have) • Dynatrace (nice to have) • OEM administration (nice to have)
