📋 Description

• Manage and administer the IBMi-AS400 Database Administrator team • Configure, install and maintain database management systems • Ensure database systems are running at peak performance • Manage user access and implement security protocols • Develop backup and recovery plans • Support end users and application developers • Conduct capacity planning and growth projections • Propose and implement enhancements for system performance

🎯 Requirements

• 13–16 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting IBM i / AS400 / iSeries environments • In-depth knowledge of the IBM iSeries / AS400 platform and DB2 for i • Strong proficiency in SQL, DDS, database normalization, and data modeling concepts • Familiarity with IBM iDoctor tools for performance analysis, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting • Solid understanding of IBM i security concepts, journaling, BRMS, and backup/recovery strategies • Hands-on expertise in CL, stored procedures, and SQL-based database programming • Knowledge of encryption standards, security administration, audit controls, and regulatory compliance requirements • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
