📋 Description

• Work for a financial institution, building the data transformation and consumption layer in a Google Cloud environment • Take data from source to dashboard, ensuring quality, performance, and cost control • Build, test, and document data transformation models using DBT • Develop and optimize SQL queries and dimensional and relational models in BigQuery • Monitor and optimize BigQuery processing performance and costs • Build, maintain, and orchestrate data pipelines in Airflow • Develop dashboards and semantic models in Looker Platform • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into data solutions • Conduct root-cause analyses and propose insight-driven solutions • Document and tag data assets, promoting data governance best practices • Automate tasks and perform exploratory analyses with Python

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or in a similar role • Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization and dimensional and relational modeling • Advanced experience with DBT for building, testing, and documenting transformation pipelines • Experience with Airflow in building, maintaining, and orchestrating complex pipelines • In-depth knowledge of BigQuery, including performance optimization, cost management, and advanced platform features • Familiarity with other GCP data services, such as Google Cloud Storage • Proficiency in developing dashboards on Looker Platform • Knowledge of Python for automation, custom pipelines, and/or exploratory analyses • Familiarity with product metrics (AARRR), marketing metrics (LTV, CAC), or financial metrics • Experience with data governance practices, such as documenting and tagging assets • Consultative approach, with the ability to engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders • Ability to translate business needs into data solutions • Analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a focus on identifying the root causes of problems • Strong documentation and organizational skills in managing deliverables • Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment • Required expertise and hands-on experience with DBT, BigQuery, Airflow, and Looker Platform
