📋 Description

• Localize in-game text, UI, dialogue, subtitles, and narrative content for target languages while maintaining tone, style, and context • Adapt content for cultural relevance and sensitivity across regional audiences • Review and edit localized content for accuracy, consistency, and quality • Maintain glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases • Work with localization QA teams to identify and resolve linguistic bugs in-game • Provide feedback on localization pipelines and suggest efficiency and quality improvements • Coordinate with language teams • Contribute to AI and language technology projects that shape communication • Complete testing and onboarding steps when selected

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level fluency in the target language • A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience • 3+ years of demonstrable experience localizing in-game video content • In-depth practical understanding of UI content/menus, mission text, NPC ambient dialogue, and locked cutscene subtitle blocks • Transcreation experience in the gaming sector, translating NBA-related content for video games • Familiarity with game engines and localization pipelines • Knowledge of scripting formats such as XML and JSON is a plus • Passion for video games, especially sports, action, or narrative-driven titles • Submit an English-language resume/C.V. highlighting gaming localization expertise • Complete a domain-specific test if required • Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require at least 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week • Contractors cannot be engaged in regions subject to international embargoes or sanctions • Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations
