📋 Description

• Provide accurate, complete, and trusted interpretation and translation of Persian Farsi and English data in support of the customer’s mission • Cover a wide range of styles and subjects, including contracts, laws, treaties, international agreements, training manuals, court documents, political speeches, position papers, slide presentations, and official correspondence • Transcribe aural, videotape, and other sources while preserving the original meaning and intent • Translate source texts and documentation into English while preserving meaning and intent • Interpret between English and the target language(s) • Conduct document exploitation, scan foreign-language documents, and extract key information for military intelligence requirements • Support United States Central Command (CENTCOM) linguist operations in Jordan and potentially other locations within the CENTCOM area of responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance • Fluency in English and proficiency in the Specified Contract Required Language (SCRL), Persian Farsi • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role • In-depth knowledge of cultural and ethnic contexts related to Persian Farsi, including idiomatic expressions, colloquialisms, and slang • Ability to conduct accurate and idiomatic translations between English and Persian Farsi using correct syntax and expression • Strong research and analytical skills for document exploitation and extracting key information meeting military intelligence requirements • Familiarity with professional fields such as medicine, science, engineering, and law for specialized technical content • Knowledge of security protocols and confidentiality requirements • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines • U.S. citizenship required
