📋 Description

• Take direct responsibility for categories such as Molding, Rubber, Resin, silver contacts, and Fasteners • Manage materials categories consumed at all EII facilities globally • Set category strategy and maintain the approved vendor list (AVL) • Lead sourcing, commercial negotiations, and RFQs • Manage suppliers, multisource, rebalance, consolidate, and develop cost models • Support supplier development and negotiations for other global categories within the region • Work cross-functionally to implement category strategies across product lines • Consolidate and renationalize the global supplier base and transfer spend/allocation to strategic suppliers • Manage suppliers for cost, quality, delivery, and service • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic suppliers and drive corrective actions for poor-performing suppliers • Develop and execute annual cost-reduction plans, including VeVa projects, CoS, negotiations, and cost-model implementation • Work with engineering to implement cost-saving projects on time • Negotiate payment terms to ensure competitive DPO • Collaborate with category managers in other regions, support or lead negotiations, find new suppliers, and develop additional sources • Monitor industry trends, rules, performance, market conditions, competitors, and market information • Deliver market intelligence and industry insights with cross-functional teams

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, especially focused on category management • 10+ years of experience with manufactured products; industrial end markets experience preferred • Experience developing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders • Ability to analyze and interpret multiple sets of data and produce concise, insightful analysis • Skilled in sourcing processes, contracting, and negotiation • Ability to think deeply when analyzing data and presenting results • Experience setting category strategy and applying strategy-setting models such as Porter's 5 Forces, SWOT analysis, and AT Kearney Chessboard • Good communication skills and ability to interact and engage with peers • Ability to work independently and under pressure and be a strong team player • Self-management skills and self-started attitude • English communication, both verbal and written, is required • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools • Strong communication skills • Project management skills • Cost modeling knowledge
