• Provide in-house and field-based clinical and technical training/support for medical devices in assigned countries and therapeutic areas • Train health care professionals in the use of pre- and post-market medical devices and associated surgical procedures • Install, upgrade, program, and troubleshoot company products in the field • Provide technical expertise in the development of new products • Develop training materials in compliance with company policies • Provide surgical case coverage, follow-up support, and troubleshooting for assigned LivaNova products • Conduct patient in-services and training for investigative centers, employees, and commercial personnel • Identify, strategize, and implement ongoing training needs • Represent LivaNova during surgeries, implants, and device programming • Support hospitals and clinics according to study protocols and commercialization efforts • Receive technical inquiries, research solutions, and provide on-call support • Build professional and technical knowledge through customers, conferences, workshops, presentations, and publications • Educate physicians, clinicians, and clinic follow-up staff on product releases and device system features • Liaise between R&D and physicians for beta testing, protocol development, and center recruitment • Facilitate research submissions and help prepare presentations and scripts • Assist physicians with technology, literature searches, engineering, and LivaNova technology • Educate and train LivaNova personnel on technical and clinical matters • Maintain communication with Regulatory Assurance, Quality Assurance, Product Development, and employees • Create and update instructions for use, physician and patient manuals, and system documentation • Generate literature and training materials, including technical memos and marketing literature reviews • Assist sales in identifying and targeting physicians • Travel extensively, up to 80%
• Ability to communicate effectively with health care professionals • Ability to instruct/coach others on use of products and clinical applications • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor • Effective problem solving and trouble shooting skills • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to prioritize under pressure • Solid MS Office skills including PowerPoint • Fluent English in reading, written and speaking • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Bachelor's degree in health care related field or a four-year degree with health care/clinical experience • Prefer prior experience of at least 5+ years as a field clinical engineer, technical representative, technology trainer or clinical trainer in medical device field • Prefer neurology or Epilepsy clinical experience • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 80%
