📋 Description

• Own the internal cloud infrastructure and act as the primary contact for cloud operations and infrastructure requests • Manage and continuously improve the multi-account cloud environment • Ensure security, governance, and compliance best practices • Support and maintain SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance, with continuously prepared audit evidence • Operate and improve identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, permissions, and joiner/mover/leaver processes • Maintain and monitor self-hosted internal services, ensuring service levels and efficient vulnerability resolution • Monitor cloud security and health through continuous posture management and proactive risk identification • Own infrastructure cost management and help teams identify cost or reliability risks • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve cloud-platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Deep AWS organizational-level expertise, including Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account landing zones, IAM/SCPs, Security Hub/GuardDuty, VPC, and multi-AZ networking • Infrastructure as code as the only infrastructure creation method; module design, state management, review, and promotion between environments • Deep expertise in at least one of Terraform/OpenTofu, CDK, or Pulumi • Ability to evolve existing systems toward SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance • Experience with IdP-backed SSO/MFA, centralized access management, and automated joiner/mover/leaver processes • Experience self-hosting and operating shared internal tooling, including deployment, upgrades, backups, and uptime ownership • Observability and alerting design experience, plus on-call for a distributed team • Cloud cost management / FinOps fundamentals • Bash, Python, and/or Go for tooling • Azure is nice to have, not a requirement • Comfortable with ambiguity in a remote-first environment and being the first hire in a function
