📋 Description

• Serve as Tech Lead for the Data Platform, acting as a reference for technical and architectural decisions • Define and evolve the architecture with a focus on scalability, security, performance, availability, and cost • Evaluate technologies, standards, and architectural risks, supporting medium- and long-term projects • Own the architecture and operation of the AWS environment, including S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, and IAM • Ensure infrastructure security, availability, efficiency, and cost optimization • Evolve the Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture using S3, Delta Lake, Spark/PySpark, Airflow, and dbt • Support the ingestion, processing, and storage of large volumes of data • Advance Data Governance practices, access management, and security policies • Work with Lake Formation, IAM, Data Contracts, data catalogs, and OpenMetadata • Ensure the continued evolution, support, and reliability of the production platform • Proactively and reactively resolve performance, availability, and infrastructure issues, as well as oversee observability and monitoring • Support Data Engineering, Data Science, BI, Product, and other stakeholders in platform-related decisions • Serve as the technical bridge between projects and data infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Data Architecture • Advanced knowledge of AWS, especially S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, and IAM • Experience with Data Lake/Lakehouse environments and processing large volumes of data • Experience with production environments, platform support, and distributed architecture • Ability to make decisions considering performance, scalability, security, availability, and cost • Experience providing technical leadership and influencing decisions without direct people management responsibilities • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business teams • Experience with ClickHouse, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and Delta Lake is a plus • Knowledge of Airflow, dbt, and OpenMetadata is a plus • Experience with Data Contracts and FinOps is a plus • Experience as a Tech Lead, Data Architect, or Data Platform Engineer is a plus • Experience building and evolving data platforms at scale is a plus
