📋 Description

• Review comprehensive study guides, learning materials, and assessment activities in accordance with approved module outlines and institutional templates. • Evaluate learning content for alignment with programme outcomes, curriculum requirements, institutional standards, and NQF expectations. • Review formative and summative assessments for validity, reliability, and academic rigor. • Ensure learning materials are current, academically sound, and incorporate relevant research and best practices. • Evaluate content for suitability in distance and blended learning environments. • Ensure language accuracy, academic integrity, instructional quality, and consistency throughout learning materials. • Collaborate with Programme Coordinators, Subject Matter Experts, Editors, and the Quality Assurance Office. • Provide academic feedback and recommendations for revisions and updates. • Ensure compliance with institutional quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements. • Meet review milestones and submission deadlines.

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Education or the relevant discipline related to the module(s) applied for (essential). • At least two years' experience in higher education, curriculum review, content review, academic writing, or learning material development. • Demonstrable experience reviewing study guides, learning materials, or assessments within higher education. • Strong subject knowledge in the relevant discipline. • Excellent academic writing, curriculum review, and instructional design skills. • Sound understanding of curriculum development and assessment practices within higher education. • Knowledge of South African higher education policies, teaching and learning practices, and curriculum frameworks. • Familiarity with South African higher education quality assurance frameworks. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to academic quality. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. • Excellent communication, planning, and collaboration skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms. • Computer literacy with access to a reliable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer. • A recognised teaching qualification will be advantageous where applicable. • Experience in distance or online education will serve as an advantage. • A doctoral qualification or current doctoral studies is an added advantage. • Previous experience reviewing learning materials for private higher education institutions is an added advantage. • Experience in Long Distance and e-Learning environments is an added advantage. • Knowledge of learning management systems and educational technologies is an added advantage. • Submit a cover letter, comprehensive curriculum vitae, certified copies of qualifications, and academic transcripts.
