📋 Description

• Develop high-quality applications for Belgian and international clients • Make complex systems understandable and work with legacy code and existing teams • Collaborate with hybrid client teams • Take business problems from stakeholder discussion through ideation to release • Engineer products and ship small increments frequently • Make architecture, infrastructure, and technology choices that fit the problem, including at scale • Build and maintain quality guardrails, delivery pipelines, feature flags, and observability • Turn recurring work into reusable, version-controlled skills and tooling for agents • Uncover and document hidden business logic in undocumented legacy code • Migrate codebases incrementally without stopping business operations • Reduce technical debt and leave codebases better than found • Mentor and coach colleagues and share knowledge through blogs, presentations, and group discussions

🎯 Requirements

• Must live and work between the UTC-01:00 and UTC+03:00 time zones • Deep expertise in one or more core stacks: PHP (mostly Laravel), Python (Django, FastAPI), or JavaScript (React, Next.js) • Comfortable working across back-end, front-end, and infrastructure • Able to take a business problem, talk to stakeholders, and own the solution from ideation to release • Able to write modern, high-quality code and direct agentic coding tools • Able to make architecture, infrastructure, and technology choices, including at scale • Experience building and maintaining testing, static analysis, CI/CD, feature flags, and observability foundations • Experience with software archaeology and undocumented legacy code • Able to migrate codebases piece by piece without stopping the business • Experience in product/SaaS startup and scale-up environments is a bonus • Data engineering experience is a bonus • Public knowledge sharing and open-source contribution are bonus points
