📋 Description

• Perform cloud and system administration while building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based systems • Propose automation and improvements and work with stakeholders to deliver solutions • Administer, build, deploy, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and AWS services • Manage Puppet-controlled infrastructure • Develop and build new cloud-based systems in a public cloud • Investigate new cloud technology releases for platform improvements • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation • Design and architect reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions (Senior level) • Support and maintain production systems • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and lead root cause analysis (Senior level) • Drive cloud security best practices and cost optimization (Senior level) • Mentor and coach Mid-level Cloud Engineers and other team members (Senior level) • Contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives • Support positive customer outcomes and responsible lending practices • Engage openly and cooperatively with legislative and regulatory bodies • Identify and escalate key risks and compliance issues • Help prevent matters that could adversely affect the organization’s economic standing or reputation

🎯 Requirements

• Mid-level: at least 3 years of experience; Senior level: at least 5 years of experience • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Experience as a cloud engineer or similar • Experience developing and administering AWS environments • Linux server administration experience • Puppet configuration-management experience • Infrastructure as Code experience, including CloudFormation, Terraform, and Serverless • Bash and Linux shell scripting experience • Automation experience with GitHub Actions or similar frameworks • Familiarity with AWS RDS and similar AWS-based database services • Experience administering web servers such as nginx or Apache • Experience working in an Agile environment • Strong problem-solving ability and stakeholder collaboration skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to meet project timelines • Excellent written and oral interpersonal and communication skills • Thorough approach to system development and testing, with attention to detail and quality • Flexibility with new challenges and ideas • Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate issues for resolution • Desire to learn new technologies and methods • Advantageous: Jira experience • Advantageous: experience calling AWS APIs • Advantageous: Node.js, JavaScript, REST/JSON web services, and API testing tools such as Postman • Advantageous: Continuous Integration pipeline experience, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or AWS CodePipeline
