📋 Description

• Lead the engineering organisation for MonieCRM, Moniepoint’s in-house workforce operations platform • Modernise and re-architect rapidly grown legacy systems • Improve platform reliability and performance at a scale exceeding 20 million users • Oversee wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout, and welfare funds • Ensure financial correctness for systems supporting a large field sales network • Develop partner management, rewards and retention, and marketing technology capabilities • Engineer and customise Braze for customer engagement • Scale the sales and marketing platform across multiple markets • Enable commercial teams to operate faster through dependable tooling • Build a high-performing engineering team with strong managers and senior engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java • At least 5 years managing managers and leading through engineering leaders • Proven platform engineering experience at scale with complex distributed systems • Experience with legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale • Strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot • Experience managing and developing engineering teams of 20 or more members • Experience with financial correctness systems such as commissions, payouts, wallets, or ledgers is advantageous • Fintech or payments background is strongly preferred • Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus, not a requirement • CRM or SalesTech experience is explicitly not required
