📋 Description

• Develop better administration and monitoring tools to improve the ease of use and security of Firefox in large deployments • Improve Firefox functionality through better integration with remote services • Assess work supporting the team and product roadmap and make insightful priority recommendations • Work with a geographically distributed development team • Provide technical leadership, build cross-team relationships, and help the team deliver on objectives • Support services and infrastructure for Firefox Enterprise products

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development • Experience developing robust services according to modern best practices • Strong software engineering fundamentals: modularity, abstraction, data structures, and algorithms • Proficiency in Rust and JavaScript • Proven understanding of database systems (SQL and/or non-relational databases) • Excellent communication skills and effective participation on a distributed team • Pragmatic approach to moving work forward within specific timeframes, including trade-offs and safeguards when implementing new functionality • Curiosity and interest in learning new things • Commitment to Mozilla’s values: welcoming differences, being relationship-minded, practicing responsible participation, and having grit • Bonus: front-end development experience • Bonus: experience with Kubernetes • Bonus: experience with OIDC/OAuth2 • Bonus: previous successful contribution to an open source project
