📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end project execution by driving RFCs, high-level and low-level design documents, and execution plans • Design, build, and maintain highly concurrent, low-latency backend systems handling massive transactional throughput • Influence technical decisions and project direction using Ruby on Rails, Go, and other backend technologies • Write clean, performance-optimized, maintainable code • Optimize database performance, query execution, and cache-layer strategies using PostgreSQL, Redis, and related technologies • Safeguard data consistency across microservices • Collaborate with product managers, designers, DevOps, and engineering squads on integrations and user experiences • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers • Review complex pull requests • Identify system bottlenecks and address root causes of infrastructure issues • Champion automated testing, observability, tracing, metrics, and CI/CD automation • Identify organizational improvements and propose technical alternatives • Balance short-term feature delivery with long-term architectural stability

🎯 Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of intensive, non-internship professional software development experience in fast-paced product startups or high-scale tech enterprises • Adequate knowledge of Ruby on Rails • Robust experience/proficiency in Go (Golang) • Experience building high-performance APIs and multi-threaded systems • Strong grasp of distributed systems, networks, concurrency control, and CAP theorem trade-offs • Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and MVC architecture • Track record of delivering high-quality software while balancing reliability, scaling, security, and usability requirements • Bias toward shipping early and iterating with small, incremental changes • Ability to navigate ambiguity, set clear technical expectations, handle stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced environment • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field • Familiarity with other backend technologies and frameworks • Experience with database design, optimization, and query performance tuning • Experience driving technical decisions and implementing positive organizational changes
