📋 Description

• Advise graduate students through all phases of the Final Project (Capstone). • Hold meetings with students according to the pre-approved advising schedule, providing guidance on topic selection, research design, and project milestones. • Monitor each stage of the Final Project, review interim deliverables, and ensure compliance with established deadlines. • Participate in formal defense panels for assigned students; fairly evaluate presentations and final submissions. • Prepare and submit all necessary forms to formalize, record, and monitor students' progress in the Capstone process. • Regularly review activity in the LMS, verify students' required postings, and intervene proactively when performance indicators are below expectations. • Encourage continuous student engagement throughout the project by providing constructive and timely feedback. • Attend program coordination sessions, mandatory meetings, and training workshops. • Promote student participation and, when possible, help inspire incoming cohorts. • Perform other duties related to the role and projects assigned by the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

🎯 Requirements

• Terminal degree — Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DBA or equivalent) in a relevant or related field; record of academic publications. • Minimum of two (2) years' experience advising graduate research or supervising thesis/capstone projects; proven success in virtual or hybrid environments. • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing). • Portuguese or Spanish are desirable. • Advanced knowledge of research methodology and academic writing standards. • Proficiency with LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard) and MS Teams. • Familiarity with data tracking/monitoring tools (e.g., Business Analytics). • Strong organizational skills, deadline discipline, and attention to detail. • Ability to provide feedback that is empathetic yet rigorous.
