📋 Description

• Develop credit risk models to expand analysis and lending capabilities in the agribusiness sector. • Define technical approaches, technology stacks, and standards for developing models and analytical pipelines. • Document and communicate results clearly and in an actionable manner to different audiences and stakeholders. • Lead presentations and feedback cycles with internal and external clients. • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to understand needs and identify opportunities for improvement from a modeling perspective. • Explore new variables and data sources to increase model predictive power. • Evaluate and adopt new techniques and technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of risk solutions. • Monitor the alignment between technical data science decisions and business objectives. • Serve as a technical reference for data scientists and analysts, supporting methodological choices and code and model reviews. • Lead the evolution of risk model architecture, covering features, validation, monitoring, and MLOps. • Evaluate trade-offs among model complexity, performance, interpretability, and governance. • Support the technical planning of medium- and long-term analytics initiatives. • Develop intelligence solutions to support stages of the agribusiness credit journey within AgRisk, Nagro.co’s hub bringing together data, technology, governance, and analytics.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong command of Machine Learning applied to real-world risk and credit problems, including model validation, bias control, temporal stability, and explainability. • Hands-on experience with feature engineering and evaluating variable impact in production environments. • Ability to review, refactor, and improve the quality of analytical code, with a focus on efficiency and reproducibility. • Experience in credit risk modeling. • Participation in analytical architecture decisions involving data, models, and pipelines. • Proficiency in querying and manipulating databases for model development and validation. • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket. • Clear and concise communication skills for presenting technical results to different audiences. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. • Bachelor’s degree. • Preferred qualifications: experience with software engineering and ML Engineering; a critical perspective on LLMs and AI agents; experience in agile environments; knowledge of Node.js or Java; experience with Hadoop, Spark/PySpark, or Polars; familiarity with cloud environments, preferably GCP.
